Our Vision

Tremper is a mission-based project reimagining how cultural, ecological, and hospitality systems can support one another — economically, socially, and ecologically.

We are currently in development on a 182-acre site within New York’s Catskill Park. Our long-term plan is to create an integrated campus that includes:

  • A cultural arts center with residencies, performances, workshops, and retreats

  • An ecological institute for research, restoration, and regenerative land work

  • A hospitality program featuring design-forward accommodations and wellness offerings

  • A working farm and nursery, including native orchards, flower fields, and culinary gardens

Where We Are Now

While full development is still in progress, we’ve already begun opening the space through seasonal public programming and land-based initiatives.

Current activity includes:

  • The Art @ Tremper x Notice Recordings performance series (May–November 2025)

  • On-site artist residencies and informal retreats

  • An active volunteer cohort working on regenerative forestry, orchard planting, and streamside restoration

  • Development of our native fruit orchard, including pawpaws, serviceberries, elderberries, and more

These early programs offer a glimpse of what Tremper will become — a site of creativity, care, and collective action.

Our Approach

We don’t believe in “finished” visions. Tremper is process-based, improvisational, and collaborative by design. It evolves through dialogue: between disciplines, with the land, and with the communities we work alongside.

This is not just about building a campus. It’s about asking:
What kind of systems do we want to live inside of?
What kinds of futures do we want to grow toward?
