Within Catskill Park, surrounded by ‘forever wild’ Forest Preserve.

Tremper sits on the southern slope of Mount Tremper, its 182 acres reaching from the banks of the Esopus Creek — the source of New York City’s drinking water — up into forests, meadows, wetlands, and historic bluestone quarries.

The property is a generational anomaly: only the third owner of its core parcel since settlement. The majority of the land remains open space, bordering more than 7,500 continuous acres of protected forest within the 700,000-acre Catskill Park.

Stewardship here is measured in decades — a commitment to regeneration and keeping this landscape intact and accessible for the region.
